The Best Stretch to Open Your Hips

The Spiderman
One of the best dynamic mobility stretches to open the hips is the Spiderman. It opens almost every aspect of the hip and is great to warm up pre-workout.

1. Classic Spiderman
Start in a high plank position on the hands and toes. Reach the right foot up to the outside of the right hand. Then sink hips low. You will feel a stretch through the back hip flexor and front hamstring/groin.
2. Spiderman + Abduction
From the classic Spiderman position, grasp front foot and push knee out to open through the groin and hip rotators.
3. Hamstring
Straighten front leg and fold over to open through the hamstring.
4. Adductor
From the classic Spiderman position, turn away from the bent leg and open through the adductor.
5. Quad
From the classic Spiderman, reach behind and grasp the leg behind you. Pull the foot toward you, opening through the hip flexor and quad.
